Sustainable Fisheries Management
ARCFISH aims to enhance the sustainability of Arctic fisheries by leveraging Digital Twin technology to improve understanding of fish biomass and ecosystem dynamics. This will lead to more efficient operations, benefitting both industry and communities reliant on fishing.
Enhanced Decision-Making
This project will reduce uncertainty in fisheries management and policy decisions through better data integration and predictive capabilities. This will enable stakeholders – from local communities to policymakers – to make better informed choices in support of long-term environmental and economic goals.
Innovation for Economic Growth
By developing novel digital tools and fostering collaboration across stakeholders, ARCFISH will both address current challenges in Arctic fisheries as well as stimulate technological innovation. The project will align with broader European and global initiatives for sustainable development and climate action, paving the way for future advances in marine technology and resource management.
